The 3rd world Conference of Grassroots Women in Tunisia

The Third World Conference of Grassroots Women, which takes place every five years, ended at the Cultural Center in Tunis.  The conference had started on 9-4-2022 and continued until 9-9-2022. For for the first time, a delegation from North and East Syria was invited and delegations from other parts of Kurdistan participated as well. The conference brought together women delegations from all over the world to exchange cultures, solidarity and work in the aim to reach a common way out to strengthen the women’s struggle all over the world. Our delegation participated in all events and conveyed the voice of the Rojava revolution, which is a women’s revolution and the delegation made a great resonance in the conference. The participants were inspired by the experience and saw it as a model which can be for liberation and democratization of societies. The delegations from parts of Kurdistan made a number of proposals, which were unanimously accepted by all:  The conference see its responsibility to struggle for the liberation of the Yezidi women and called an international action’s day against Femicide on the 3 of August each year. The conference unanimously condemned the Turkish attacks and violations on North and East Syria, as well as Iraq and called for joint action to confront these violations as well that the arresting women activists in Turkey was condemned. The conference strongly emphasized the importance of protecting the Rojava revolution and called for joint action in solidarity with this revolution on the 1 of November each year, because the 1 of November is the day Kobani got liberated. The conference made it possible that women all over the world shared each experiences.
